Karol and Kvído

Karol and Kvído

We create cheerful educational children’s songs. Come to our playful performances for children at theaters and festivals.

Where did Karol and Kvído come from?

“Since the moment I became a mother, I knew I wanted to create something special for my children,” describes Karolina Neuvirthová Gudasová the beginnings of the music duo Karol and Kvído. At the end of 2019, she teamed up with her best friend Lukáš Vilt, who is a production and project manager by profession, and also with her childhood friend Kiki Maggi Hrdličková, who is a talented animator, to help her fulfill her vision.

With her classmate from the conservatory, Tomáš Dvořák, they wrote the lyrics for the first ten songs for children. Another classmate, Jary Tauber, brought them to Rooftop Studio to Ondřej Žatkuliak, where the music for each of their songs has been created since then.

From the beginning, they wanted to also shoot original music videos for the duo Karol and Kvído, so on the recommendation of their manager, they approached creators Martin Šesták and Chaply RZBLZ. Original costumes for all the music videos are designed by a colleague from the musical industry, dancer and stylist Radek Fišer.
When this busy team joined forces in 2020, the first music video “Farm” was created, in which Karolina transformed into Karol for the first time. Shortly thereafter, they created another eight music videos, and their joint effort culminated in the release of the album “The Adventure Begins,” which was christened by Dáda Patrasová. “Currently, our discography consists of two more original CDs, Audiopohádka, Children’s Folk Songs, a DVD, and this October we will release our fourth album,” Karolina Neuvirthová Gudasová aka Karol is excited. And the team has further expanded, adding lyricist Eva Gúthová and composer Daniel Vrba. In 2023, we opened the Karol and Kvído Studio at the Prague Exhibition Grounds in Holešovice, where workshops with theatrical, dance, and acting training take place. Come dance, play, and sing with us!
