TATA BOJS
TATA BOJS – long-term one of the most popular contemporary Czech music groups, which was formed in 1988 in Prague’s Hanspaulka and is known for its energy-packed concerts. It was founded by two classmates from elementary school, Milan Cais and Marek Huňát alias Mardoša.
Ten studio albums, four live albums including two on DVD and one for HBO, one conceptual and one remix album, a unique joint project with the Korean Ahn Trio, one best of, six reissued vinyls, ten Anděl awards and other music awards including album of the decade (Futuretro 2000), collaboration with the Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra, which launched a series of joint concerts with other symphonic bodies across the Czech Republic, a number of music videos and countless concerts not only in clubs but also grand hall and outdoor concerts, one large exhibition mapping thirty years of existence at the DOX Centre for Contemporary Art, a visually refined and extensive monograph titled TATALOG, smart lyrics and meticulously crafted music and production – this is how the career of Tata Bojs can be briefly summarized, about whom a feature-length documentary by Marek Najbrt was released in cinemas in 2024.
